Ok I was just woundering. I have a Epox somthing or other board (does not matter because it has the 4 mounting points) and I was woundering do I need any holes (screw holes) in my case to install a fan that uses those spots? I dont think I do. but just woundering (im talking about Heatsinks like the ALPHA 8045 that have the 4 mounting points)

nother question. while im at it. Nidec(Stealth) Dual Ball 3-pin, at SVCompucycle is said to be just as quiet as a panflo yet more effective 27CFM compared to 24. this true?

No. But if you already have the motherboard installed in the case you'll have to remove the mobo to install a heatsink like the 8045. Another cooling solution that's comparable to the alpha is the AX-7. And you do not have to remove the mobo to install it. It's cheaper also.

I'm not familar with the nidec fans but hopefully another who is will answer that question for you.
