I don't know if I was really the first to use this motto, but when I began using it as my signature a year ago, I came up with it on my own.

Join Team Anandtech!
...because a CPU cycle is a terrible thing to waste.
 
however I do like our old one the best, but I would make a minor edit.

got it ViRGE, next time would you make it more clear I did not see it and it seems that the message was edited AFTER my posts, so I came to belive that the rule had been added after the fact. if that is true or not I am uncertain but It was hard to pick out. maybe use the list feature.
