i've heard that too... for a phone that retails for $500, there should not even be issues like this.

The battery life is pretty good on this. I've gone about 2-3 days without charging and it still has 2 battery signals left (total of 3). Awesome phone!!

So when do those new G3s roll out, and any news on new ATT plans that would come after the 27th?

I doubt this is possible, but would appreciate the heads up if it's true as I'm planning on purchasing this phone in a few hours. Would be nice if the people who interject with a deal which is essentially half price of the original posters price would enlighten us with the source(s) or conditions of these prices............

I just asked my girl's dad about cell phones (he sells em). Is there a big price difference between east and west coast? Getting one for free (fringe benefits ;) ), but I think he usually sells the phone for under $150 with one year contract. He says that between January 24 to January 26 there is an overlap between AT&T special offers, and you can use a rebate they had with the phone along with a new offer. Heading there tomorrow to grab it, if anyone wants more info lmk and I'll post a follow up.
Oh yeah, I'm in NYC.

i'm located in the nyc area. i notice that cell phones here are darn cheap. i got my nokia 8260 free plus a $50 rebate when i opened my old AT&T plan 6 months ago. if you know the chinatown area of manhattan or flushing area of queens. you'll see 5-10 cell phone stores on each block. no joke. alot of competition means lower prices for us bargin hunters. dont buy from big stores like radioshack, their prices are pretty high. the v60t did cost me only $120 - $40 rebate for 1 yr contract, plus i get the motorola freebies. i dont understand why ppl want to open a 2 yr contract. i'm sure by the yearend u'll be sick of the v60 and new models will be more appealing. prices are going down each week. i'm sure it'll be around $100 by next month. so if u live around this area, i advise making a lil trip and save urself some dough.

Great phone. I absolutely love mine.
The money that you pay for hte v60t is worth it.
I paid $375 as a special order back in October and this phone is just amazing.
I get about 3 hours of talk time out of the little battery, plus i got the free extra battery w/ the att kit that came free.
This phone picks up signal almost everywhere, even out in the sticks on i89 heading up deep into vermont.
Another thing is if you're on ATT and you cant find a ATT tower, they try to run on Cingulars digital towers, if they cant find any of those, they try for verizon amps, after that they look for ANY available tdma 800/1900 or amps signal.
Great service along the east coast!

um, not to make everyone here feel bad, in new york city's chinatown, most stores are selling these things for $100 and you get the service rebate of $40 as well. AND I GOT THE ONE YEAR contract, not the two year. i just got mine yesterday on canal street at a place called rings and dings.

Nice, I got the Phone for $100, instantly (no rebates required).
Called corporate att and gave them my foundation # for Lockheed Martin and got 75% off the hardware.
=Þ
Also get 15% cheaper bill every month and 15% more minutes every month.

If you guys work for large corporations, see if they have deals worked out with the Cell phone companies. My brother works for GE and has a cell phone deal like mine.

hahahah.......I'm sorry to hear that man. Well, small independent cellular companies make most of their money off of the comission and sales so for them, the phone is not that big of a deal. You should complain to Motorola and tell them to lower their prices on this phone!

walk around, check out prices for the stores. if you open an AT&T plan and get the v60t, they should give you the motorola freebies (2nd battery, desktop charger, speakerphone) it's straight from aT&T. some places wont so make sure u ask and buy from the ones that does.

Sounds like an awesome deal, wish they had something like this for the V60c (Verizon)

The thing that concerns me, a 2 year contract is a long long time and you should review your contract to see what you're getting into before signing.
