Has anyone successfully picked up a v60c for less at a Verizon reseller?

I don't mind going to the retail store (because I hear the warranty is 1 year, versus 90 days from the resellers) - but at the same time, my experience has always been the smaller stores offer better pricing. The rebate on the v60c mentions Verizon retail stores specifically - so it's probably not valid for phones bought at the smaller stores.

Also - anyone know if Amex offers some kind of insurance on cell phones (or other electronics purchased with Blue)? I know they don't PM cellphones, but I read (and couldn't confirm) that cell phones purchased with Blue get an automatic warranty extension.

Thx,
-rj

Do any of these 'chinatown' shops advertise in any kind of print form? If so I wonder if Amex would PM....

shawnman....some "chinatown" shops do advertise. I saw one the other day. The next time I am around one I will see if I can get it and scan it.

Guys stop confusing other user with the cheaper ATT V60. We all know the we can get the ATT version for next to nothing. But this post is for the V60C for Verizon...

Picked this up today from the local Verizon B&M, they had sales posters all over the store with the sale so no need to beg and plead for the lower price. I was in my contract (after renewing for more minutes) but had been w Verizon for nearly 2 years. Phone seems pretty nice, just need to sit down and move all my numbers over. If anyone has a good site for ringtones or discounted car chargers (they wanted $35!!), pls let me know.

Hey, anyone looking for a used StarTac 7868? :)

DVDKing: It sounds to me you should be able to qualify for the promotional price. As long as you've had your current phone for more then 10 months, they allow you to get a new phone at the promotional price if you renew your contract with them again (for 1 or 2 years depending on your original contract) at the time you get the new phone.

Got Motorola 60C with 1 year contract for $149.00 here in Houston on Monday. They wanted two-year contract.
