Motorola V60 $129.99 AT&T wireless

You kidding me? Mot v60 for ATT should be free! If you don't believe it, open up a Chinese newspaper! (ok you don't have to read Chinese, but if you see a picture of v60 with AT&T's logo in the same box, dial the # and inquire)

glee... you're soooo gullible.... the "free" in chinese stores are for "$99.99 plans" or 24 months contracts... they make it "free" to draw you in.... they are still A LOT cheaper than american places....

i know, i work for two of them and planing to open a shop of my own in June.

I'm pretty sure the sale is off but my local best buy in the bay area had all they're cingular phones for free after mail in rebate. you had to sign up for a contract for either 1 or 2 years...I'm betting it was 2. but they had the nokia, 3390,8290 and the Siemens S40 World Phone for free, they may have offered v60. I think this promotion ran about 1 or 2 weeks ago. But anyway's I'd wait untill mid summer before locking into a new contract because cingular is going to role out they're new GPRS network in california, today was launch date for san deigo. The calling plans for GPRS is the same as they're current plans it just you have to pay more data access, this new network will allow you access the internet via your mobile phone at speeds up to 144kb! I don't know what you would do with that much speed on a mobile phone but hey faster always better.

BruinBill... you're soooo gullible. The AT&T v60t is indeed free, and not only from the chinese dealers. I have one. I only had to sign a 1 year contract, 600 mins, 3000 night and weekend, free LD, all for only $39.99/mo.
You need to check your facts first.

Dang this sucks the big one. I just ordered an 8260 from Amazon yesterday, would much rather have the V60. And it already shipped too, damn.

The v60 phone indeed is free at the small chinese stores w/ ONE year contract. However, you may have to sign up for at least a $40 plan depending on where you go.

does anyone know a store in the bayarea that gives the v60 for free??

AT&T list price is $249 now.
when buycom, amazon, bestbuy, etc such places can sell it for $129 now,
chinese places definitely can sell it for free now.

A Motorola Flip Phone on Cingular?! lol, that'll be the day....

Thats impossible since Cingular uses a different network than what Motorla builds for... CDMA for Verizon I believe, and TDMA for AT&T. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

This should cover Cingular Gr1mL0cK
V60G
V60T

Now I just need a deal on a V60C. Cell one wants a fortune.

you are wrong 😉

I am using v60 with cingular plan. Nokia have discontinue the 8890 & 8260 so to replace these phones they got the v60 and the sieman one.

:Q Wow, I retract my statement. I'm glad Cingular has FINALLY decided to stay away from the Nokia line that never seems to change much. Cingular has great plans, but only if they could improve their performance in my area....

Cingular sucks so bad in the bay area then it taught me a good lesson not to go with them again. To be precise, it was a one year lesson! On average, I was able to use maybe 20% of minutes since it has no reception most of the time.

correction:
LA chinese places sell v60t for around $120 after tax currently.

When you open a new line, they get certain amount of commission, so they can sell the phone at whatever price they want - of course at a certain profit point after the cost.

4 years ago, there were GSM1900 Startac for westcoast Pacbell (Cingular's previous name).
They're one kind of Motorola's flip phones.
