RadioShack is running a special or what I call a close out on the Motorola T289 2-Way Radios. They have them for $29.99 each and their is also a $20 rebate from Motorola for up to 6 radios. Most stores either have a few left or none at all so you better hurry. B&M ONLY. Not available online. Rebate

UPC number - 2375553709
Part Number 2101847 or 21-1847 (Same thing)

Do you have the Radio Shack part/SKU/item number for this?

Thanks.

cmf21 - Thanks for posting this deal, visited my local Radio Shack after searching through their computer system they finally found the SKU which is 21-1847 and had 3 on clearance for $29.99 each, I bought two. Maybe should have bought the last one.

Awesome deal!

I was lucky enough to find a RS with four chrome ones left, picked them up today. I had already scored the rechargable packs at office depot for $2.99 each, so this was perfect.

Thanks for the tip!

The posted rebate form will be a COPY after you print it, lol.

The RS where I just bought my radios didn't have any forms and their computer wasn't offering to print any out. Anyone have any luck finding the forms at a RS?

Um, if Motorola is HOSTING the rebate on their website so that you can print it out and use it, I think that means that you can PRINT is out and USE it. Think about it for a minute, why would they give the rebate form on their website in PDF form if they didn't want you to use it? Trust me, it is ok. Go here to see where the link is to the rebate. I have printed many a rebate off of manufacturers' websites and believe me that is the point of them being there.

I tried going to Radio Shack today but they were closed for Easter. I'll have to find sometime tomorrow to go between classes and office hours. I really wanted to pick up some of these radios today, as I had been away from the forums yesterday and didn't see this post until today. :(

<< Yeah, sure bud. >>

Edit: Ok, so don't trust me. emjem, I'm not trying to screw you over or anything. You are probably new to Hot Deals and don't know that it is ok to print rebate forms off of the web, even if they say "no photocopies," because they all say that and they don't mean "no printouts," they mean no photocopies. There are three or four people here telling you that you can use the printout so I don't understand what's with your attitude.

I have a pair of these radios. Frankly, I am a bit disappointed. Lots of background noise. Loud squeak sometimes.
I've put my pair away in favor of my Panasonics. I have to admit at these prices it's hard to beat. Nice post.

The rebate form on Motorola's site is fine to send in. I used it on a pair that I picked up at Compusa for the same price and got my $40 with no problem.

Just got a pair, go with the OD $2.99 batteries nicely, charging right now.

Got mine at the RatShack corner of Broadway & Chevy Chase in Glendale CA, computer shows they still have 10 left.

Now I just need to ebay my t250s.

The only ones I have seen have been the Black/Chrome ones. I would have liked to have picked up the camo ones for hunting but you take what you can get.

I picked up a pair of these today for $29.99 each, so this is still hot. My store had 11 of them. The rebate is good through June

My store didn't have them but he said he could order them at the $29.99 price. He said they should arrive in the store by Wednesday. I hope they actually come but because it is a closeout, I'm not gonna be too disappointed if they don't come.

picked up two. i also went to OD for those rechargeable batteries but couldn't get them. i read that those rechargeable batteries are good for 1 hr talk time and 10 hr stand-by time. now, will rechargeable NiMH AA batteries work in this one. if so, which one is better - buying a standard battery charger and some rechargeable AAs or should i search for this motorola battery pack. thanks.

I would jump all over this but I don't need any 2way radios. Good deal though :)
