I have the Treo and I don't find it uncomfortable at all in my pant pocket. Plus I'm so impressed with the PDA functionalities I'm actually considering selling my Dell Axim X50V and just keeping the Treo.
I had a treo 600 and now I have a RAZR. the pda functionality is nice, but i like the razr better. now the treo 650 is better than the 600 i had, but its still very similar. i would go with the razr
Do you need a PDA phone? If not then get the RAZR... I have a black one for cingular. Honestly it's not all it's cracked up to be. It is a bit wide, and I hate the fact that the volume and smart buttons are on the screen's side instead of the body's side (if that makes sense). Overall it is a decent phone. Again, it is wide, but it fits into my pocket nicely becuase it is slim. Nice things though are the speakerphone and the bluetooth. I use an axim x50v when i'm on the floors because I don't want to carry around a PDA with me to a party. Bottom line... unless you need a PDA... don't get one.
I use a Treo 650 daily, and can give you some perspective on it.
It sucks.
That's my perspective .
I use it because it is our corp. standard. They want us IT guys to be constantly accessible to the 22,003 useless emails the business people send every day.
And by the way, can we get a small 50,000 volt shock wired up to the "Reply All" button? Can I have an "Amen!" on this?
The problem with the Treo is that it is a compromise in every way. Not a bad email client, but much less usable than the Blackberry. And it's a terrible phone. Phones need buttons you can feel, not flipping touchscreen icons.
Yeah, so can I, when sitting in my living room, or at my desk, and trying very hard.
Edit: my earlier message was a little tongue and cheek. I don't really believe Treos suck; they are a slick little package, but I don't like the tradeoffs. I want a phone to be easy and convenient, and not encumbered by a bunch of additional features. I would rather have the Razr, and carry a Blackberry in my case for use when it's convenient.
