The only downside of this phones construction that I could find is that it conducts heat like a nuclear reactor IT GETS VERY HOT IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT!! Do not carry this phone to the beach and leave it on a towel or you will wind up throwing it in the sand the first time you try to answer a call on it!! OUCH!!

LOL

Which provider(s) in the US will carry this phone? Maybe I can get it for cheap when it comes out...

Wow - that is the coolest phone I've ever seen, and one of the coolest cats (and the girl isn't too bad either!).

I don't even like cats, but that is one neat looking cat. Phone looks nice too, but it looks like it is the construction that is the selling point. Given the borderline pathologically redundant photography and the constant juxtapostion with the knives and sunglasses that would instantly impress any pubescent boy, I have no doubt it will sell well to the same sort of affluent middle aged white men who are known by name to the hammacher schlemmer salespeople.

Cingular is one of them. Around $300-100 rebate or something like that.

No i'm not sure about that... i'm just going by what people said in forums.

I think $500 would be without activation.

it'll be much more then $300...they're anticipating $600 or $700. I've been waiting for it patiently, and I'm getting quite sick of it :) I called Moto and the rep I got said end of September, early October...others have gotten Oct/Nov, so who knows.

You're willing to drop 7 Benjamins for this phone?

After the usual Amazon discounts and rebates, it should only be $400-500, and yes, that's fine with me. Don't start if you're one of those people who only spend the very minimum to get electronics and clothes...you'd hate to see my room ;) My contract has been up since January, so I've waited and "saved" for this phone. (No, I didn't know about it this entire time, but it's worked out well, hasn't it?)

On that OS which similar to the V600/V300 OS the phonebook is really simple.
For instance, you can't assign different numbers to same person and designate whether it's home/work/cell. So end up getting John on thier 3 times not knowing what number he's calling from, if say you need to call back.
