Motorola phone question

So I signup for a 1 year cell phone contract which includes a Motorola V360 phone. I want to be able to sync it with my computer, so I go to Motorola's site and find out they want $40 just for the software/drivers to be able to connect with computer. This is ridiculous IMO, like selling a video card and then charging money for the drivers. Anyway, so there a freeware alternative to Motorola phone tools? I want to be able to transfer mp3s/ring tones as well as pictures taken from the camera.

I don't think Bitpim/P2k is really made for that, so I don't think it'll work. It didn't work with my V3c anyway. MPT is kind of shoddy anyway. When I setup some Nokia PC software for my friend, I was surprised how nice it was and that it worked good compared to MPT.

Try HowardForums or Motomodders.net.

You should be able to find some drivers easily (to allow communication with software and charge the phone over USB) but as I said I don't believe P2k is made for audio or image transfers, but I certainly could be wrong as I only messed with them for a little bit (didn't work). So check the sites I listed above.

I assume you're saving the MP3s and Photos to the MicroSD card in the camera? If so, you can just get a card reader and transfer stuff that way.
