1.2ghz dual core, 4.3" super amoled qHD display, 7.1mm thin!

this may be the device to get!

edit:
This newest addition to Verizon's Droid lineup boasts a Gorilla Glass coated, 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display -- a first for any mobile handset -- atop a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. Although the RAZR may look like a Kevlar-wrapped, slightly warped Droid X with its 7.1mm skinny silhouette and familiar topside hump, the insides tell a different tale. Joining the list of well-heeled specs, are an 8 megapixel rear camera capable of 1080p HD video, 1GB RAM, 16GB of onboard storage with 16GB additional on the microSD card and an 1,800mAh battery. Moto's also included Lapdock 100 and 500 Pro compatibility, converting this latest red-eyed beastie into a power user's best friend.

Wonder what kind of processor is in it? an 1800mAh battery in a 7.1mm phone is sick. Combined with an AMOLED display, you're talking about serious battery life here... Make's my HTC Thunderbolt w/ an extended battery feel like a monstrosity!

I'm still waiting for a release date.

edit: The link says pre-order late October. Release in November. That's awesome. Usually we're stuck waiting forever for new releases.

Absolutely stunning, Motorola really nailed it on this one. Stainless steel + Kevlar, qHD Super AMOLED display, LTE angd good battery life plus only 7.1mm thick. I'd be tempted to switch to Version just for this phone.

Awesome looks like there will be an international version as well.

That's a pretty fugly phone, mind you the battery life and splash proofyness sound good.

What about NFC or Ice Cream Sandwich? Still gots questions.

Doesn't seem to have nfc, curious submission. ICS, gotta wait on the Galaxy Nexus for that and the ICS launch. Razr will almost undoubtedly see ICS, but I wouldn't expect that until next year. With all the stuff moto throws on there it's going to take them a bit to get that out.

I like the phone overall, curious to see what processor is in it. However I really don't want all that moto stuff and I'm tired of hacking stuff.

so how is the bootloadeR? locked?

Deal breaker if it is. Phone looks sexy, but if its loaded with Blur and an encrypted bootloader, I'm still going for the Nexus. After experiencing Sense, I'm not going that way again.

This might have trumped Nexus Prime for me just because it has a 4.3" display instead of the massive Prime one.

To get more people to lock contracts? Seems everyone is releasing monthly upgrades now.... kind of frustrating.

You realize that encrypted bootloader does not stop blur(which doesn't exist anymore technically) from being removed.

Read somewhere the RAZR has the same 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4460, the same as the Nexus. Maybe the wait for ICS update won't be long, though there's a lot of Moto software on this.

Yep, my Droid X is a pain in the ass with it's encrypted bootloader combined with motoblur, which was programmed by naive 5 year olds (read: motorola couldn't code anything decent if their life depended on it). I won't look at any android phone going forward that doesn't offer an unlocked / unencrypted bootloader.

I haven't seen that it's the 4460 anywhere yet, curious on that also. Will look around. This looks like a great phone also, next month is going to be very nice. Sitting on my upgrade still (Oct 1st.) and looks like 3 great phones to pick from.

So many awesome phones to choose from. I'm really liking the look of this phone and it'll probably be built like a brick. If it does have an unlocked bootloader I'd consider getting it over the Prime. I've yet to see a Motorola device that was a smooth as even my galaxy s1 thanks to tons of roms and customizations.

I'd see the chance are high it'll be the OMAP 4460. Motorola has always used TI processors and the 4470 isn't set to be ready until early next year. It might even be a 4430.

Once again, why not get rid of motoblur. Cyanogen on the Dx gets rid of motoblur

they changed the name but the BS still exists

yes you can remove it if you root and such but an unlocked bootloader makes the process so much easier

I've been waiting since... February.. I think to update my phone. :| I'm still debating if I want to head the iPhone route. Android devices are updated to the 'best' specs every month, but the companies don't actually test the device in the real world... As in, they release a phone with terrible battery life and expect everyone to jump on it instead of testing it and realizing their phone sucks the life out of the battery like a vampire.

ths is true, IIRC the bionic claimed some serious talk time numbers and it sucks the battery like a whore
