Motorola announcement today...guesses?

According to the link I posted it looks like it will be 5.9 inches. I'm hoping it's not because I've been waiting for a new phone to buy. Maybe the form factor will be comfortable. But I would really need to try it out in person before getting a phone that big. The one plus size I could deal with slightly.

Why the Oneplus and not this?

The Oneplus, despite only having a 5.5" screen, is virtually identical in size to the Note 4 because of its large bezels.

I guess it's all just speculation until the actual product hits the shelves (or reviewers).

I'm guessing we're talking about a mm or two at most though.

For me, I think I'm comfortable going up in size substantially from my LG G2. Planning to hop off Sprint and go to T-Mobile (which finally has service here).

Comes down to timing more than anything for me.

Yea until it's officially announced and out for reviews we won't know how comfortable it would be size wise. I'll be going to metro here since they have good coverage where I live and they are now using T-Mobile towers. I have a family plan for my siblings on there so I would save myself some money from Verizon because I'm paying $90 a month just for my phone due to unlimited data which I've been clinging on to forever.

I just noticed Verizon is getting the z3 too. I could just get that since I can use it for remote play with my ps4.

Edit: Looks like this article states it's as big as the note 4 aesthetically but the screen is bigger than the note's screen. So that should be fine and it mentions it is big it's not too big. Hopefully this is the case.

No Nexus for me. Droid Turbo it will be. With the Turbo being on Verizon I see zero reason to even consider the MotoX '14.

But Verizon is not selling it off contract. I don't want to loose my unlimited if I'm gonna stay on Verizon. Need to look into the turbo more.

Well now that its official who will be getting the nexus 6? $650 price tag...

I'll be getting one for sure. Big, high resolution AMOLED screen (yes!), front facing speakers (yes!), minimal bezels (yes!), on screen nav buttons (yes!), stock Android L (yes!), all in a Nexus package (yes!).

Looks like people that complained about the n4 and n5, and wanted premium components, well here it is. Either this or droid turbo but since I want to leave Verizon to save money, and I can only get the turbo through a contract renewal (lose unlimited data), I'm gonna preorder a white nexus 6 and go to metro pcs.

There's no way this is true. I bet Amazon will have it contract-free... not to mention other third-party sellers.

So far Verizon hasn't said anything but I don't want to wait longer. Besides it doesn't look that good, I don't like the front.

Any chance that droid turbo will work on att's network?
It will be SIM unlocked and have perfectly compatible 3G, but LTE will only work on AT&T's secondary band (AWS). The primary AT&T LTE band (12/17) won't be on the VZ version.

Moto is, however, rumored to be launching an identical/near-identical GSM version soon after though.

I'm having a hard time choosing between the turbo or n6..similar specs and similar prices. Except the front of the turbo looks odd, has the back part coming down more than the front face of the phone.

The Droid Turbo is going to be full of Verizon bloat, that alone would have me going with the Nexus 6.

Yea they say it's a simplified android os much like others except you know when a carrier releases it as exclusive that it will have bloat and a locked boot loader. Reminds me of the droid DNA.

It will have Motorola apps and zap to voice whatever that is plus the usual Verizon stuff. Price being similar maybe less because screen is smaller, I think I'll just go with nexus and take it to metro pcs.

One thing I definitely do like about the Droid Turbo is the massive 3900mAh battery though. That's much bigger than the 3220mAh of the Nexus 6 or 3200mAh of the Note 4.
