Under the hood he discovered an OMAP 3630 clocked at 600MHz and 256MB of RAM. Then he put the whole thing back together and the real fun began. Wade managed root the underlying Gingerbread platform and turn it from a GPS tracker to 1.6-inch tablet by sideloading the stock Honeycomb launcher. Wade even managed to bless the tiny device with Market access, allowing him to install a certain title featuring a flock of furious fowl.

Anyone have a pressing need for a 1.6in tablet? 😛

 its a watch like thing anyways

Doesn't have to be a watch-like thing though. You can clip it like an iPod Nano.

If it was cheaper (or when it gets cheaper), I might pick it up. Looks like a great run tracker and fitness tool, and I do want to get a good bike so I can do some cardio yet do something other than running.

If only Microsoft would open up Zune to non-Windows platforms. Damn them, that's what is holding me back from changing up my media device (or using my phone for both smartphone and media tasks). Eventually I'll have to move beyond my Zune HD and it looks like the Zune h/w platform is dead (now bundled in WP7).

The MOTOACTV's battery life is poor relative to its competitors. :/

Although, I'm curious if you could tie in some kind of generator to the ACTV in a bike mount, the same way they hook up head lights to use the kinetic energy.
