yea, people on reddit saying the same thing.

Haven't used the Moto X, but the N5 has fantastic battery. Much better than the HTC One (ATT stock), which has a smaller screen, slower CPU, and same battery size. Everyone's usage will vary depending on how you use the phone, but in my experience I was able to get a good 8-12 hours more life on my N5 compared to the HTC One (with same usage conditions).
Plus, there is just no downgrading from a 1080p display to a 720p display. I'm definitely sticking with the N5/One.
Both the One and the N5 have horrible battery life, the N5's slightly less horrible in some categories. But there are others where the One trumps it. The N5 has less web browsing times than the One, and my One has absolute shit battery life. I can't imagine the phone I'd have to come from where I'd consider either of these phones to have fantastic battery life. Both are barely passable for everything except talk time.
I thought the One had great battery life. I had an ATT stock and always used power saver mode. It easily got me through the day with auto-sync, 4G, and GPS/Bluetooth both on. The Nexus 5 does all that, manages to get better battery life all while having a slightly bigger screen, beefier specs, and same battery size as the One.Both the One and the N5 have horrible battery life, the N5's slightly less horrible in some categories. Stop saying anecdotal stuff as fact. For example, my One rocks in the battery life department.
I think I mentioned I called them yesterday and they said would ship sunday, however it shipped yesterday via overnight.
FWIW I haven't got any email from motorola. I found out its supposed to be delivered today through fedex.com/us/delivery/
But ya have to register for the service and then it wil search your address for any scheduled deliveries.
Thanks.
Just registed and searched by my Motorola Order # and it shows it is scheduled for delivery today.
My order status at Motorola still shows as "Not Shipped".
So, I may have a surprise waiting for me when I get home.
Where did you search by the moto order number?
The following assumes that you either have a FedEx account setup or you set one up before doing this:
Go to the Tracking page, select Track by Reference, enter your Moto Order # in the field, select your Country and then enter your Destination Postal Code and then hit the Track button.
It will pop up as no record of this tracking # can be found, but on the lower left side of the screen under "My Shipments" you should see a notice with a tracking # (in purple so it sticks out) and then select launch tracking from there.
Well, Moto's site still hasn't updated, and I haven't received any notification, but I just refreshed the Delivery Manager tracking page at Fedex, and it shows it has been initiated. Set to arrive on Tuesday.
That's a few days later than I wanted/anticipated, but oh well.
I still need to get the accessories I want/need.
Moto X users - preferred case? Anyone using one of the official Griffin docks have any input on which cases do indeed fit?
Any clear-back (or frosted/translucent) models that aren't slippery, AND have the dimple? Or, I can handle slippery back (side grip must be good), so long as the Moto dimple is present. This is the first time I don't want to hide a logo, and it's entirely because it's a dimple that looks to be in the absolutely perfect spot for increased grip. Similar size phone to my Galaxy Nexus, and I have noticed my finger invariably ends up near that spot but moves on my glossy TPU case, so I'd put it to use. 🙂
I've definitely decided on the car dock/mount, still up in the air about the desk. I miss Moto's awesome landscape docks. I just like the idea of the desk dock because it is one of my alarm clocks, and with the active display notifications that would be nice having it always in view.
My Motomaker X shipment is delayed because of some winter storm named Dion 🙁
I'll feel no guilt knowing they couldn't get their billing system set straight.
I just got my phone today. It looks like it has a nano sim? Is that the same as micro sim? Im trying to use Straight Talk and not sure if the micro sim is the card i need? Does it do LTE also via ATT network?
