That's awesome but I'm foreseeing a gigantic mess with the website dying a painful death since this includes the Moto Maker options, nevermind tons of people trying to access it.

Dev Edition included?!

I wish Verizon's dev edition wasn't white only, but I'll probably get a case anyway since I am so damn clumsy.

But I'm pretty sure this is my "in", finally. Affordable off-contract, so I don't have to worry about my data plan on Verizon or extend my contract.
And I think that is indeed the phone for me... hmm, I probably should go to a Verizon store to actually check it out in person today, to confirm I actually want this thing.

Dammit, this muddies the waters for me. I thought I was set on a Moto G just an hour ago.

Wood backs cost more right? That would defeat the purpose.

I want the kevlar back and yellow accent!!! If Verizon is on the list I am IN!

All carriers are on the list including every single variant of the Moto X which includes developer editions.

I just $%$#^ in my pants. Fingers crossed, I'll be waiting in front of a screen monitor.

How would it defeat the purpose? Would I not still be saving $150 off the final price?

Been using the Moto X on Verizon since release. I can't say enough good things about this phone... it's fast, stable, and the whole "OK Google" commands are really handy.

I still find the Nexus 5 a better buy, but I could see this being enticing for those who want smaller phones or a colorful back.

Or a decent camera. Moto X has the best camera on Android currently, from most of the reports I've heard.

That is not what I've heard. At all. I've heard it's good and above average. I've never heard best.

That title still goes to phones like the Z1 and S4, with the One getting mentioned but dinged in certain scenarios.

It appears to be above average after the latest software update.

Good thing is that Motorola is very much on the ball with software updates. Even the Razr M is getting KitKat. Its almost an alternative Nexus experience with great battery life. I can't say enough about Motorola's battery life.

I am uncertain about its battery life because the reports I hear on the web are all over the places. Some say great, others say the opposite. I am inclined to believe on the "great" side since most comments with regard to the so-so battery performance was made in the initial reviews, but it's still a big unknown to me.

Nevertheless, a great price for a great phone without a doubt. Especially for those on Verizon it is the closest thing to the Nexus 4/5.

Are there wooden ones in the wild? I haven't seen one. I have just applied a wooden skin (i.e. sticker) on my Nexus 4 and been quite content with its look.

Should I start refreshing my browser now? I got burned by the Droid Bionic on motorola, but I can't believe how well they have handled the moto x so far.

So this is going to be same price as Nexus 5? $350 for the 16gb and $400 for the 32gb Moto X? I guess it's decent deal if you're on Verizon and can't buy Nexus 5.
