fixed.

CDMA is a far more complex technology than GSM, hardware required, therefore, is equally more complex. Compare the CDMA variant of the RAZR with the A900 (which is also CDMA) and you'll see, samsung did a better job than motorola here.

I was on GSM with At&t and Cingular for the past ~7 years and I just switched over to Sprint (still in the same calling area). I miss every bit of GSM with ol' Blue.

No, they are both CDMA, both have been for a long time now.

duhhh, they are talking about the Moto 3vC for Verizon which IS CDMA.

i love the ignorance of the responses in this thread.

Verizon lists the V3c as 0.57" thick...I think nutbucket was rounding up to .60".

v3c size

So did Samsung do a 'better job' than Motorola now? :)

I have the GSM V3 and A900, and the difference is negligible. The A900 is a bit taller, and slightly less wide. But they are the same thickness for all intents and purposes.

The A900 feels like its put together better though, doesnt feel plastic-y like the RAZR.

I didn't round up. I simply posted what I found at phonescoop. Besides, if you actually use the two the A900 has the better interface anyway.

the moto v3c is nothing like the gsm razrs, Verizon neuterd the software so its completly locked down. (have to pay for everything you put on it)

Comparison of the two from an unbiased source
As you can see, there was no rounding done.

This is also true. VZW restricts capabilities of their software to increase their profits though Get it Now. Sprint offers their own music store and ringtone store, but their phones can play both MP3 and AAC (MP4) natively as well as 3GP and 3GP2 video. In addition, downloading third party java apps, audio, or video are very simple as they don't inhibit this capability.

Let's also not forget that the A900 comes with an app (On Demand) which allows you to pinpoint your location on a map through the phones GPS.

It's got a forked up interface, but I just put several MP3 custom ring tones on my son's V3c via Motorola Phone Tools... FREE!
