Easy. Religion is used as a tool by those who want power. Same way politics is used. Either can be used for good or for evil. Same with science and technology and information in general. It's the mind of a man that manipulates these things for destruction. Weapons don't kill without the aim and purpose of an individual or an organization. People will rally around any idea, whether religious or not, in order to achieve their own gain. If you don't understand this, you are a willing idiot.
