Moths

Last night while lying in bed with my girlfriend I felt something weird brushing against my face. I opened my eyes expecting it to be my girlfriends hair or the corner of a pillow or something equally normal, and just saw a tiny blur. I immediately fell off the bed in a fashion so un-coordinated that any witnesses could only think it was intentional. I flipped on a light, and just a few moments later, my girlfriend was throwing a pillow at me and telling me to turn it off, and a moth was fluttering around the light. I caught the moth, dumped it outside, and went back to sleep, wary of any slight brushings.

I forgot about it completely in the morning, figuring it was a random incident.

About 10 minutes ago, while sitting in my chair at my desk doing work/browsing ATOT I feel something hit my back. Then see something fluttering around my monitor. Then I got hit in the face again by another one. This time there were 3 moths, working as a team to kill me, or at least pepper me with that dust crap from their wings. I caught them all in a plastic water bottle, and am enjoying watching their futile attempts to escape by bashing themselves against the plastic, but I know more will return.

How the hell do I stop these fvckers?

Burning the apartment down is presently not an option.

First of all, how did they get inside in the first place ?

I have no idea.

That you need to find out eventually, moths just can't just teleport inside your home 😕

I intend to try, but moths are unfortunately good at getting through very tiny cracks. At the moment I'm guessing either a hole in a screen I'm not aware of, or the chimney.

well, all I can say good luck on your search for the source. I'm sure there's something that's need to be sealed/closed/fixed at your place

I take it these are little moths and some nice large ones.

Maybe they came in with some food or are busy eating some clothing in the closet.

Oh yeah...make sure you have moth balls around in you're closet just to be safe (I cautioned if you have any children/pets around) 😛

The last time I felt something fluttering in my hair was in my ECE class. Thinking it was a stupid fly, I tried to brush it away and it stung me. That's when I realized it was time to change majors, and that it was a wasp.
