My wife and I have a ~3 month old. I need to get her something for mothers day but have no idea. I guess since you all don't know her, you probably don't either. But try to give ideas anyway.

What are some good gifts to get a new mother? Last year for her b-day I bought her a MiniDVD camcorder so we could take video of our son. For Christmas I bought her her won digital camera to take pictures of him. Now I have no idea. She's not the type that like spa's etc. Flowers are OK but I wanted to get something with a little more thought. Of course it may be your thought that helps me.

You know, i was considering that. Well, kinda. She has Suncom service and her phone is literally 5 years old. It's a piece of junk. Only problem is when we were dating I looked into replacing it and the Suncom people were less than helpful. I wanted to just pay for a new phone for her, leave it at the store and then have her come pick it up. Since the account is not in my name and I do not have a Suncom accoutn the only way they could sell me a phone was t for me to sign up with their service.
It's been a few years but I don't know if I want to go through that again.

then take a picture of the syrup and send it to her

OP, why don't you get her a gift "for her". it seems like you've been giving her mutual gifts lately (ones that benefit the whole family).

Well, the digital camera was what she wanted?????? I already had a digital camera. She just didn't like it so I bought her one of the canon elphs that she can carry around in her purse. Of course I bought her ohter stuff for "her" at xmas. I'm just looking for something else that mother's would want/need. Something she wouldn't ask for.
She has been hinting around about wanting one of those small printers that are solely for 4x6/5x7 pics but I want to get something more for her. Just don't know what?

Why don't you give her the credit card, you take the kid, and tell her to have fun.

what about a really simple but nice mothers ring or bracelet? They have some great ones out there that you can add on too with each child that may come along... or you cannot go wrong with a nice pearl bracelet or diamond tennis braclet or solitare earrings.

I tried buying her jewelry once. It was a pretty nice diamond necklace. She took it back and exchanged it for a ring or something. Also she doesn't wear jewelry very much.

Thanks for the idea though.

I bought cards for my wife, one from me and one from the offspring. Tomorrow after she leaves to go work out I'm going to make seafood benedict, potatos o'brien and I'll open a nice bottle of champagne and make mimosas for her. It will be a nice surprise when she gets home.

Edit-Seafood benedict is basically eggs benedict with seafood instead of ham. I'm using fresh cooked shrimp and lobster meat.
