File server was off when I came home last night. I was drunk at the time so I didnt get a chance to crack the case till this morning. Just plugged in another PS to see if the problem was my 2 month old, 400W, $80 enermax PS. Sure enough, the backup PS boots the thing right up. :|


Now I have to see if the POS ruined any of my drives. And then RMA it. :| Anyone know their warranty?
 
It sucks, you have to send it back to the reseller, and if you bought it on the boards, you're SOL.
 
I bought it at newegg, I think...but I thought for RMA's past a certain time (i.e, 30 days) you send it back to the manufacturer?
 
And here I thought that your POS PS sounds like mine (about the combined noise of six Delta 38 fans, I can actually hear the computer down one floor while sitting in front of the washing machine while it's running)

the ps was suprisingly quite, but the globalwin HSF is a screamer!

Three year warranty, as I recall. Look at the owner's manual which came with it.

I have the same model psu and am very impressed with it. Its incredibly quiet and solid. Looks like you got a bad one, though, which can slip by for any manufacturer.
