ok i am looking at two boards right now 1. intel p4 2.4ghz boxed cpu w/soyo 845pe dragron lite motherboard. 2. amd athon xp2600+ thoroughbred box cpu w/fic au13 nforce2 motherboard.thanks😕
 
The AU13 is a very nice, stable board with excellent audio. However you might be better off with the barton 2500, the double cache helps significantly with math operations - but it does run at a lower clockspeed than the 2600+.
