motherboard switch, reinstall windows?

Currently have a k8n-neo platinum which is having major problems (check the k8n thread, or the a64 mobile thread for details), think i will send it back and get the asus k8n-e when it comes out as a replacement. Since they are both nforce3 250 boards will i need to reinstall xp, or should it work ok, as the only drivers that were installed with the msi were chipset, and the utilities should be easy enough to uninstall.
