all around good mobo, = EPoX 8RDA+

almost anyone would agree.

also, anyone would agree that the NForce2 chipset is the way to go.. therefore making your choices a bit slimmer, but there are plenty of good boards.
other good ones are:

Asus A7N8X
Soltek SL-75FRN
Abit NF7-S
MSI K7N2

Yeah, I'm kinda wondering what motherboard to get also. I was gonna go with a7n8x first, but I decided 8rda+ would be cheaper, but now i hear a lot about abit nf-7 rev 1.2. So I guess why is the nf7 1.2 so good? as compared to 8rda+? I plan on getting a 2100+ and overclocking so i figured 8rda+ would be the best. if someone could explain what's so great about the nf7 1.2 that would be helpful.

Being something of a contrarian, I've been working with the Biostar KT400 motherboards -- I have found them to be a decent performance bargain. And, with the right memory/CPU combination you can overclock them a fair amount.

Just did that with an XP2100 Tbred chip -- and was surprised how far I could push it.

And, (and this probably just me), I prefer the front/back orientation of the CPU slot -- makes it easier to swap out fans and CPU's for me.
