Motherboard Selection

Hey guys, my friend is looking for some answers...i'll directly quote one of his posts in another forum:

Well, I started planning on building my first PC and I have everything picked so far except a Mobo. I know I need Socket 939 because I picked out a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice. I also want either firewire ports in the back or just having the connections so I can utilize the firewire port in the front of my case. I also want nForce 4 Ultra chipset and PCI-E. After searching for a few hours for the perfect mobo it came down to two.

Right now I'm a little unsure because the MSi has had some bad reviews such as the northbridge chipset fan breaking soon after the computer was first booted up. I really want to get the Gigabyte one but I want to get the MSi one as well because it has all the things I need (Gigabyte has no firewire in back). The gigabyte also comes with a lot more SATA cables I believe, but I don't know if those are necessary. So if anyone can help me out with picking out which mobo to get, I'd greatly appreciate it.

He'd appreciate any help.
