Motherboard Recommends? A8v, Neo Plat 2?

This AMD64 rig will be 99.9% audio work, with some video work. I will link the two systems to farm out VST plug-ins.

It seems the 939 chipsets are still becoming mature, which leads me to my next question, although I won't be doing much gaming on this (or one of these rigs) (my current rig has a 9800 Pro), I am tempted by the Geforce6600GT (AGP) series, especially if I go with the nforce3 ULTRA chipset. Case point is that something like the 5200 series has a mature graphic driver set, as the most important thing on this rig/setup, would be 2d, and the time lines drawn for the sequencer.

Would appreciate some feedback on this.

Also, FWIW, I from time to time like to OC', and read that the 3000 winchester core goes fairly high on air, but then again, I may get a case that is extremely quiet, i.e., no side panel fans, and the .09 run cool anyway, so I may start with a 64 3200-3400, and jumpt to a FX when the price drops.

The Ram I'm looking at is from Crucial and OCZ, both of which are certified as dual for these boards by their manufactures.

The only problem is, on other message boards, these MOBO seem to be hit or miss.

Last, but not least, best way to hook this 2nd PC up to a network? Presently I have a ROUTER with 4 LAN ports (on another PC upstairs), this PC, and a HP Color laserjet on port 3. So I have one open port.

Another thing to think about regarding motherboards is DUAL LAN, as I would like to hook up the new PC to the router, network PC1 and PC2 together (any sites on reading how to do this?) and to farm them out together, they also need to be connected via network cables.....

Feel free to anwser any or all of this post.

Thanks

The nForce3's have a little better rep for OCing over the VIA boards. VIA is a little less expensive, though. If you're not in a hurry, you could also wait for the nForce4 and ATIx200 chipsets mobos to hit the retail channel (nforce4=1-3 weeks ATIx200=1-2 months). Then you could go PCIe with your vidcard on boards made with OCing in mind. PCIe opens up your current and future vidcard options.

Also, no reason not to go with Winchester (90nm) unless you really need top end. OCing results on these are pretty exciting.
