Motherboard qvl ddr2 ram?

hi ive been looking at buying an asus pq5 se and it says about the memory
4xdimm,max.16gb,ddr2 1200/1066/800/667 non-ecc,un-buffered memory
dual channel memory arcitecture
please refer to www.asus.com or user manual for memory qvl.


my ram is ddr2 pc2 6400 gold series ocz 2g 800 4gk

so i checked the list for this in the qvl and couldnt find my model of ram there is ocz models in there but not mine.

so can u use any type of ddr2 ram or just the ones in the list.any help pls thanx

The QVL is just RAM they tested. Guaranteed to work. They usually only test a handful though.

I'd say you have a 90-or-so percent chance your RAM will work fine with that board.
