Does anyone know what company makes either an amd or p4 motherboard that has both usb 2.0 and firewire onboard?

Intel makes a motherboard with the 850 chipset with USB 2.0. That was the only company I came across. For firewire, just get a SB Audigy with a Firewire port built in. I don't think there are any motherboards that come with both standard.
 
I have seen some cards out now that have USB 2.0 and firewire too. That might be an option as well considering the SB Audigy firewire port isn't as good quality or as fast as a standalone.
