Hi, I found my old P2 board...handles 100mhz bus..a bx board i believe..i have a 233 processor in it and i have ram and graphics card in, when i boot up, the power goes to the board and all the fans run, then i get a couple of low beeps..which reminded me of the 3 beeps meaning no video card, then it constantly beeps high pitched until i turn it off....any ideas? im trying to find the manufacturer to figure this out as we speak

Usually Beep-codes are manufacturer specific. It *should* say who the manufacturer of your board is - you might want to check on their www-site what your beep-code means.

If you've got problems with the Video (accord. to the beep-code, if that's what it means) - then I would check out the video-card in another system. Have you got some PCI-graphics card that you can use - like a G200 or so?

Maybe that will help :D.

Some more system details would help btw.

By the way - you're not trying to do something strange like running PC133 or higher memory in that system? It should *technically* switch down to PC100, but that doesn't always work that way :D.

Anyway - pls give us some more details ... maybe you have the mobo manual somewhere? :).

Btw: Most "no boot / no video" problems are caused bey either of these (or a combination thereof).

* Bad/incompatible memory.
* Bad GFX-card.
* Dead CPU.

Are you sure all of that equipment in the system should work? You might have fried the memory via ESD if you got unlucky or something like that?
