Motherboard problems

I have this old PIII motherboard that I'm trying to fix, but for some reason the keyboard is non-functional. It boots up, the optical mouse lights up, but the keyboard will not respond at all. I have tried 3 ps2 keyboards and even purchased a usb keyboard to see if that would help. I can't get into the bios settings.

Does anybody know what could be wrong? Is this mobo just shot? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It would help if you would post the make and model of the MB for starters!
Remove the bios battery, jump the reset jumper on the board if it has one, replace the battery with a new one and try again.

well I get the power to light up on the keyboards right at boot up, but then it dies. I am not running any OS right now....just trying to get it to boot into the bios. No error beeps.....everything works except the keyboard. Its odd, and I dunno the make of the mobo. I think its like a power pc mobo....no idea....

I thought it was the psu too, but I used both of the psu's I have and the one running my XP machine should have more than enough juice....but same problem. :brokenheart:

I may just dump this mobo and get another one...
