ok i have a q6600 2.4 ghz, 2 x 2 gigs of ddr2 1000mhz RAM and an ASUS P5K-E mobo. What settings do i have to select to achieve a 1:1 ratio? Currently i have it set at 333mhz fsb, 1066mhz on the ram and its a 5:8 ratio, and has some memory blue screens every now and again. I'd like 1:1 for stability and would like the cpu at around 3.0ghz? please help...

Lower your RAM speed, until it's running @ 333 Mhz/667 DDR.

Yup, RAM should be down at 666. It sounds like a big drop, but honestly if you tighten up the timings, it won't make much of a difference at all.

But what exact brand/model/timings ram do you have? 1000mhz rated ram most likely shouldn't have trouble running at 1066mhz. I would think it's more likely that your CPU isn't stable. Maybe try lowering the CPU overclock, or raising the voltage?

Lower your RAM speed, until it's running @ 333 Mhz/667 DDR.

or

Lower your RAM speed until it is running @ 400Mhz (800 DDR) and increase FSB to 400.

or

Increase FSB to 533 and lower multiplier to 6.

i wonder if my mobo can do 533 fsb? thats pretty high isnt it? id definitely like to keep the ram up, because i did pay for 1000mhz, id like to use all that juice!

Hey, he didn't ask how to get his RAM to run @ 1,000 Mhz DDR, or I would have told him.:D BTW, knife, if you're wanting to run your RAM @ it's rated speed, while leaving your overclock where it's at now, just lower your memory multiplier by one notch.

Wait. You said you wanted to run 1:1. If your cpu is at 333, then 1:1 would be 667 for your memory..........and you wouldn't be using "all that juice" you paid for.

Its one or the other..... you can't do both.
