Hello everyone,
Would a 250W Codegen brand power supply be able to handle a Tbird 1.4? Here is the system I'm trying to upgrade right now:
MSI K7 Master
Duron 750
Alpha PAL6035HSF w/ Sunon fan
Asus V7100 Magic
512mb Crucial DDR ram
Misc crap
Ok honestly, I stuck the 1.4 in without thinking of the power supply, and it came up as 1035mhz. It didn't even finish counting the RAM, and the whole computer turned off. Then I started hearing the infamous sizzling sound of the Tbird and I'm thinking it's dead (or at least from previous experiences that's what happened after the sizzling sound). Anyway so I put back the Duron, and now it won't even boot up. When I hit the power switch, only a light on the motherboard comes in. Is there anyway that I messed up the motherboard because of the pansy power supply? Thanks.
