Motherboard memory voltage

Hello, I just bought the components for a new system but I've run into a problem.

I bought an AMD 64 X2 AM2 4800
ASUS M2N-E motherboard (which only supports 1.95v of RAM, I found this out after ordering it :X)
crucial ballistix ddr2-800 (which is 2.2v)

and some other crap so I want to replace the motherboard with one that supports the RAM I bought. And after looking around voltage support on a motherboard isn't really stated on most specification charts. can anyone here help me out? thanks so much for your time!

Well I don't know if it is another motherboard out there right now that has this stupid ram voltage problem. I guess that any other motherboard should have no problem with your crucial. You could also try increasing the ram latency and it could work on this mobo to.

If changing the RAM latency doesn't work, why not exchange the RAM instead of the mobo? You now know what the mobo needs for RAM... You could also look at your mobo manual RAM charts and see which ones ASUS says will work with it. Get some of that. ASUS mobos can be picky with RAM...

You can try running your RAM at DDR-800 5-5-5-15 1.95Vdimm. I'm running my current Patriot set at those specs and it passed Memtest test #5 2hr with 0 errors.

If you do plan on returning the M2N-E, you could get a M3A. Up here in Canada, it costs $100 which is cheaper than the M2N-E while providing support for AM2+ processors. Plus it has 8 vdimm options which is more than enough for you to get your Ballistix running at the stated specifications while providing excellent overclocking headroom.
