I have a friend with a problem with his (sigh) Compaq...Its a p2 450mhz...wondering if there is some database I could find the mobo used in this machine.
I would be willing to bet that it it a board that was built for Compac by a mfg. that will remain unknown. That way you do not have a choice to get all of the specs.
Compaqs have always made their own mobos. Someone here told me this has changed recently for certain lines of computers, which I don't doubt. But if it doesnt list multipliers and stuff on the board, good luck guessing
Just worked on an old Midwest Micro computer with a mobo with no identification on it except for the Intel chipset.
I installed SisSof Sandra and there it was...all the info on the mobo I needed.
It turned out to be a Prinox or (Epox).
