I am looking for a good mobo to go with my Thunderbird 800mhz. I was thinking about the Asus A7V, but by reading all the posts that the Asus A7V have lots of problem, I not sure anymore. What are other good Mobo out there that i can run my Tbird 800 on...

A friend of mine just got an MSI K7T Pro 2A and can't stop raving about it! Super stable and a lot of flexibility for overclocking. Plus I think that MSI is among the better MoBo manufacturers, especially when it comes to tech support. If you're not sure, just go to the For Sale/Trade forum, do a search for DainBrammage and PM him about it.

yea, i'd recommend the msi k7t pro2-a motherboard also. i'm currently running a 1.0 ghz amd tbird on it. no problems or complaints. i'm not overclocking right now on it either, so i wouldn't be able to talk about it in that respect.

If you search around the forums, you will find quite a few people having problems with the Pro2A. I tried one out that would not multiplier overclock properly with 2 Loctite unlocked T-Birds that multiplier overclocked perfectly in my KT7. I have upgraded to the KT7A RAID, and many forum members, including myself, have been very happy with them. Check out the Anandtech review of it Here . With the KT133A boards here now, the Pro2A is "Yesterday's News"

I read a bunch of stuff in the last few months and was going to buy a MIS K7 Turbo (not out yet) But bought a Abit KT7a and it has been great so far.. Abits are faster MSI are usally more stable.. But this has been more stable that my old Intel board..
