Question:

What type of motherboard can I use a shuttle LAN case? Are all "miro ATX" form factors usuable in these types of cases or do I have to buy directly from shuttle? Here an example of the type of case I am referring too: http://www.directron.com/sn41g2.html

The Story:
A friend recently gave me this stripped out shuttle case. Nothing is left inside including the power supply. fan, motherboard etc. I understand the smaller type of power supply required for this case and know where to get it, but the motherboard is a real puzzle for me.

Thanks in advance for any help.

They use a pseudo-proprietary motherboard. I don't think it would be worth your while to pursue your project. Besides the motherboard, you'll need a power supply (I've only seen the SilentX for around $70) and the proprietary ICE cooling system. At the end of all that, you may as well just purchase a complete, used barebones.
