I dunno about this. But one sure thing is that DDR is a lot cheaper than SDRam.

Of course, you'll never reach the full potential of PC3200 ram with your Duron.

But you'll have some good ram when you'll upgrade your CPU.

That's why I'd suggest a DDR capable motherboard (upgrade possibility + ram cost, as well as "newer" technology). It may cost a little more, but you'll make it up when buying the Ram.
