I am looking for a motherboard for a Athlon 1.6/266. What would be a good motherboad that will not cost too much and can anyone tell me a good place to go to find them? Thanks!
 
Check newegg.com's refurbished section. They have mobos starting at about $49 shipped. All come with 30 day warranty; some don't have drivers, but all you need it via's 4 in 1, available at their website. Pricewatch has several listings; the sis 730 chipset boards come with integrated video and sound, but some don't support the 266 athlons or xp's. I just finished using the shuttle ak31a for 4 months, and it worked pretty well at 138-140 fsb. Another budget board for the athlon or xp is the epox 8KHA+ for less than $100.
