I have not messed with the latencies yet. I just set the fsb to 350, bumped the vcore up to 1.5, and set the ram at 1200mhz. Runs just fine. Took me to 3.2 just fine, once i can get the temps i will push the ram even more.
I can run these Crucial Ballistix up to the 1000 spec if I change the divider from 1:1.
At the 3,4,4,8 latencies I get between 700 and 720 Mhz, I was stunned at the bandwidth benchmark result under Everest Ultimate. It's good enough for me -- for now . . .
What? No Asetek Vapochill? You DIY built this yourself?
You should treat us with pictures of the rig when you can.
I still promise to get my case-build photos up here, but I want to finish the bling-bling and Lexan stuff first.
Also, nobody ever commented much about my choice of the old ProLiant Server to mod. I'm assuming -- as I did when I chose to build it -- that everyone else wants smaller-than-midtower cases now. But it sure would be a good case for room to spare on phase-change hardware . . .
LOL no cheap stuff for me. The pre-made units will not hold a load of -30c at 300 watts. I had this one built for me, the next one i am building. I just got my 608 type 1 HVAC license, so in time i will have a nice unit built. Your case looks nice, but most people likce images that are rather big so that they can see the quality. Pictures, i have some for you.
I will update my thread. It will be at the top in a few mins.
