Fry's B&M has been clearing out a ton of motherboard's this past week. I went to 3 locations in Socal and all of them had the same prices. YMMV at other Fry's lcoations. I didn't have time to check them all out, but here is a partial list.

MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+ $99.99 - $25 MIR =$74.99
MSI K9A2GM-FIH AM2+ $59.99 - $20 MIR = $39.99
MSI Saturn Socket 775 Barebone $45
Various MSI MBOX Socket AM2 Barebones (can't remember price, I think it was around $60)
ASUS M3A AM2+ $30

I was mostly looking for AMD boards cause I picked that $55 7550 Kuma from Newegg. But there were definately Intel boards also on clearance. I ended up getting theMSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+. I'm going back Thurs to have a closer look.

I didn't check out all the intel boards, but I think the i7 boards are too recent to be part of this clearance.

I was at the fry's near cupertino last week and they had just sold out of an i7 mobo/cpu combo.

It was the i7 920 and the asus triple sli board, package was going for $450, basically $150 off. I was so pissed I didn't make it in on time - rep told me all 5 went in 2 hours.

I was at the Downers Grove store looking for an Intel MB and they could not find any of the ones I was looking for - all were the cheaper variety.

Did you happen to see any cheaper Am2+ boards at the DG location?

If you can find it, I picked up a Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 for $79 at my local frys. This one originally retailed for $300. This mobo is a beast, running my E5200 at 4.0Ghz @ 1.38V. All I adjusted was the cpu voltage and FSB, everything is stock setting.

The one I am at now didn't have the x48 but I did buy a k9a2 cf for 37 and its got a 20$ rebate so $17 bucks. I grabbed a x3 710 too so good times!

That's an insane steal.

All the Fry's have been picked clean by now, pretty much. Sucks, the MSI P45 Neo3 FR for $49 seemed like a good deal as well.
