Hi, I recently obtained a sony vaio I believe to be a little old. Its make is a PCV-RS412 model and I want to upgraded it. It currently has all the same hardware it came with, Hardware These Parts I have been looking to get are
Graphics Card
RAMx2
Mouse
and this is the extra Hard Drive

Now the thing I am worried about is I don't know if my motherboard is compatible with the hardware and if my power supply is able to handle this. I have not been able to find out the specs on them since it was bought used and the sticker saying what all the parts are is no longer on it. Also any advice on better parts in the same price range would be greatly appreciated.

Hm... I still dont trust TigerDirect's rebates, so I'd get those parts from the egg instead (might be cheaper). Anyhow, run CPUZ on the system to find out what core components it currently has. Disk manager will tell you the hdd info.

Better deal on Ram, no rebate:

The power supply itself should have the ratings on it, it may be on the top of it so I'd take out the power supply to check. That will tell you if that will handle the upgraded video card. Anything in the 300-350w range should handle the updated components.
