Motherboad Recomendations

Im looking for something that I can use as a dvd system with a Ati TV-out card.
Ive got a Athlon XP1800 processor. 512 Ram DVD rom. Id like built in nic card but
its not a must have. 6 point sound is really a must though. I recently purchased
the MSI K7N420 and Ive had problem after problem with it. Anything else out there
that people have had good or great luck with?

Have you looked at the Shuttle AK35GT(R). It has been very stable and works well for me. It as been reviewed numerous times and stacks up well even against the newer chipsets.

recently i've had both the A7V266E and the Epox 8KHA+ and i have no complaints. the Asus board seemed a bit weak for O/C-ing, but stable none-the-less. they are both right around $100, so not too crazy of an amount (plus the Asus has RAID)

Im curious about the AK35GT(R). Does it support Athlon XP? Ive got an 1800 that blew out my Epox 8K7A and I dont want to attempt to buy anything that might not support my Processor.
The two brands Ive had contact with are MSI and Epox. The MSI K7N420 board had a few bugs and Im wanting something that is going to prefrom for a while. Ive been looking at teh MSI K7N415 same as
what I had but without the video integrated. Any other recomendations ??? Thanks Calibrator, Bartokomus

personally, I wouldn't get a board with built in ethernet or sound, its harder to upgrade, etc. I would add both of those with PCI cards or possibly a CNR card. I have the soltke SL75DRV5, its a good board with average features. it has single channel sound built in. you could upgrade it.
