Mother Nature Never Ceases to Amaze Me!

I've seen probably more sunsets than anyone here. You soon realize that it's like the circus - you see it once, you seen them all, right?

Well not quite!

Last week while leaving Cozumel the color looked a bit brighter yellow-orange than normal. As if millions of pounds of sodium metal was dropped into the sea!

Turned around and could not believe it. It kind of looked a bit like a face if you have a cloud animal imagination but as the sky changed the face became more and more obvious.

Here it is!

that is a really neat picture.

definitely my favorite place i've been to as far as nature goes is maui. so many breathtaking scenes there. the sunrise on mt. haleakala was amazing seeing the sun come up through clouds. but then i think about the 400ft waterfall that i hiked to and stood under. and the road to hana and all the views and places to stop. oh and lets not forget molokini.

damnit now i'm depressed because i'm not there right now 🙁

Nice awareness of mother nature. I always feel annoyed when I see sun dogs, but don't have a camera handy. I'm jealous you get to see so many beautiful sunsets.

I love sunsets like that, I happened to get a photo of one that was so overwhelmingly orange, very similar.

That's one awesome sunset photo. So, what happened with the red sky at night thing - did you have intense weather the next day?

Thanks for the sunset photo candy!

It's "red sky at night, sailors' delight"...ie, good weather the next day.

That said, radar and satellite imaging > ancient aphorisms.😉

Im always reminded of Heaven, with glimpses of God's awesomeness in scenes like these. Keep 'em coming Rubycon, Im saving them all. 🙂

ps. I hereby name this the "Rubycon Amazing Sunsets Thread"!!

That's pretty awesome. God let the devil out of his cage again.

Sunset I managed to catch when I went to Wasaga Beach:

Always cool to be in a place you can see a full sunset. It's funny how it's something that happens every single day, but it's always so amazing if you get to see it.

It's like the lights shining from the boobs of the sky.
