lol you two must live at home, rent or have shitty credit if you don't get plain white envelopes a lot.

gratz though, frees up video game time.

I realize it is easier to shift blame than to take responsibility for your own actions, but that is what got you into this mess in the first place. The amount of mail I receive has nothing to do with the fact that you threw out the notice, stop trying to redirect.

you like guyver above are the types that are happy to take it up the ass anytime.

I don't get why dudes like you are so pissed at everything in the world that you must defend the total opposite side that any sane person would see. I wonder if it has anything to do with both your sigs having RIP's in them...get over it.

So you are 1) in defense of a company doubling an interest rate for no reason and 2) sending those change in terms in non-company branded envelopes?

Pretty stupid not to read your own mail buddy. Before you try and deflect, yes I live on my own and yes I get plenty of plain white mail. For the 3 seconds it takes to open an envelope I'll make sure nothing important is inside.

This.

I open all my mail.... even the junk stuff.... takes 2 seconds to open, determine its not important, then trash it.

If you can't be bothered to read your own mail, you have noone to blame but yourself.

Exactly. Especially since his "If a company doesn't want me to know who it's from, I am not going to open it" philosophy is working so well for him.

actually dude it's still working as I got my terms changed back and the account closed.

I am really willing to put money down on it only takes 2 secs to open a piece of junk mail and determine if it's important though.

My mailbox today provided a stack of 10 letters that were total junk, I average probably 5-6 a day. I do my bills every two weeks...so opening 70 fucking junk mails on my own time is not something I really want to venture into.

There is no reason other than FUCKING deception that a card company would send my bills under a labeled envelope yet changes in terms in a plain white one. To me that's one step worse than burying them in all the offers each statement comes with.

I have about $60k split between student loans and CC debt about 50/50. For an adult professional it's not a horrible amount. My current CC's are paid in full each month. I then send another $1k or so to those old college debts. I pay early, more than the minimums, etc.

Don't try to make me out as a deadbeat or lower class person that you are possibly relating too.

So those that love to just enter my threads to flame me should go back to your rooms at your 'rents place or apartments and just get all giddy with it. You win dawg, dawg you win!

How much time did it take to get this mess straightened out, and how many more of these will you run into by refusing to open plain white envelopes? Over the course of your lifetime, is more time saved by not opening envelopes and dealing with the possible headaches? Sounds like an insurance policy, kinda. 😀

So are you now going to
1. open unlabeled mail?
2. verify all your important mail comes in labeled envelopes?
3. verify with any new service that sends mail that their important mails come in labeled envelopes?

Or can we expect this wonderful thread again sometime?

1) nope
2) nope
3) nope

To answer you back, how far down the rabbit hole do you spend questioning a merchant/vendor you are going to do business with assuming they are going to be as deceptive as possible?
