Mother choice help !!!!

From what I've seen they're both pretty similar, however... the Abit board layout is clearly worse, with the main motherboard power cable stretching right across the board, blocking airflow for not only the case exhaust but the PSU exhaust as well. Also, the Abit can't use DIMM slot 1 while using the very desireable XP-120 heastsink. Add to this the extra SATA controller on the Asus, and I think the A8V Deluxe is a better buy. Of course, some people still buy Abit because... that's their brand. But I think the Asus is a better option.
 
ABIT's have a much higher failure rate.

I built a few PC's...

ABIT 2 out of the 3 were bad out of the box.

The last 4 ASUS have worked flawlessly.
