Please split this into two groups: with alcohol and without alcohol (such as the above)

eating sushi and drinking sake, we did almost 400 bucks between 3 of us. We were full and wrecked.

Big dinners out with 10+ people, had more than one occasion where it was $100/person+.

Biggest tab I've ever picked up was ~ $250CDN. Buddy's birthday, about 8 of us had dinner. A lot of the people there were broke, so I picked up the tab so they could all afford to go out later.

After the protests, I just said "Look, it's Mark's birthday, noone's gonna pussy out just 'cause they're broke."

Um, 5 people. Well over 100,000 yen (around US$900) not including any alcohol except for a few beers. We also tacked on 3 bottles of some crazy good liquor (all recommended by my otherwise quiet boss). Thankfully, I wasn't paying. I can't be more specific about the amount because all I saw was my boss whip out 10 x 10,000-yen bills from his vest pocket and then have to go into his billfold for more.

In America, most expensive per person was a dinner for two at Ruth's Chris, about $140 with a bottle of wine. Most expensive as a group was somewhere around $400 but that was like 10 people all having desserts and whatnot.

3 guys, $450 not including tip, chop house in Chicago.
and no..... there is no way in hell i paid. Gotta love friends who work in the stock market.

A few years ago, about 40 of us, the Plant Manager paid for everything. The bill came out with tips and all was about $2500 or so.

Yes I call that expensive.

Just imagine if it were at a steakhouse or something like that, would be closer to $250+

Nothing dumber than spending loads of money on something you'll flush down the toilet the next day. ;)

Some people save that though.

~ $1200 + tip...

6 people eating/drinking, at the Emeril's restaurant in Orlando. Boss paid, and then quickly submitted the receipt in with his expense report :D

edit: MY biggest bill was "only" ~$120 for my wife and I at a fancy "Spanish Grille" (wine included)
