Once Anand put the smack down, 95% of time I'd go with what he says, that's how much
influence AnandTech has over my buying decision.

The TWO most respected Reviews Websites:

AnandTech
FiringSquad

IMHO. Feel free to add your own. Too many websites are now "bought," "exaggerated," "inaccurate,"
"lazy;" "kiddish," and "biased." There's really little or no point reading those reports. Most peope in this forum
are much, much smarter than that.

NForce was reviewed about two weeks ago. I think every hardware enthusiast on the planet is waiting for a nice comparo/shootout with all the major manufacturers KT266A mobos. I sure as heck am. The 8500 will be reviewed whenever ATI gets the drivers straight. (2010 😀)

<< NForce was reviewed about two weeks ago >>

no it wasnt; if it was than kt266a was also reviewed but both were for reference boards

I am certainly looking at Nforce still even though it might not take the performance crown

IMO the performance difference between the KT266A and Nforce in neglible or so close that it is not a great factor

1. Stability
2. Overclockability
3. Price

I picked up an Audigy X-Gamer yesterday... to say the least, its about 1000x clearer than my Live was 😀

MCHammer,

Then what would this be? A direct quote from the article: With a final product in hand and production quality drivers, we set out to review the most versatile desktop chipset to ever hit the market.

Let me be the first to say "DUH".

Michael I'm aware Anand posted a somewhat incomplete review of the nForce. If you look on the home page he indicates that there is a Part Deux review for the nForce. It will supposedly go into hard drive performance, audio, ethernet etc... that's what I'm waiting for.

Tomorrow will be an interesting day. nForce is supposed to be released officially... curious to see how many sites have ref boards, if any at all. Also if there's a Radeon 8500 review... more KT266A reviews as well. No nForce news on 10/10... this boy's going KT266A and Audigy.
