Last year I was greatly honored to win this award. Thank all of you that voted for me and especially for the nice words that many of you expressed. I would like to encourage everyone to vote for someone else this year for I believe it is best when we spread honors around. :)

With that in mind, I've taken it on my own to run project specific MVC contests concurrently with this one.

If there is a project that I have over-looked please send me a PM and I'll get a MVC thread up for it right away.

Please vote for the person or persons you you think are most deserving. Let's limit the voting to no more than five.

Whether you vote or not, I'm sure any comments (preferably good ones :p) about your fellow TeAm Mates will be most appreciated. :)

I'm going to pass on this vote for now. With all of the projects and all of the great people involved in them it is too hard to pin it down to just 5 names without leaving off so many deserving members.
that's the way I feel too.

me as well.

Too many people that deserve this, I just cant decide :)

IMHO, EVERY person participating in a DC project for Team Anandtech is a Most Valuable Member. From the person running a PII300 that averages .5 WUs per day, up to the top dog producer. Team Anandtech is great because of each and every one of us. :D

That being said, I do recognize that there are those that go "over the top" for the team, and should be recognized a little. And as far as this MVC is concerned, I really like the idea of project specific MVCs, as I know there are "over the top" contributors in each that deserve a bit of recognition, and I may not know who they are. :D

jliechty - always willing to help answer questions, even if it's not about a project he runs.
Confused - instrumental in getting the SoB TeAm to the top!
Engineer - what can you say... his enthusiasm(for SETI & crunching in general) is infectious!
Hellburner - the daily SETI stats are something the whole team looks forward to everyday!
MereMortal - stats!

ViRGE, would you list the past winners for us?

How in the world am I going to limit this to 5 members? Can I limit it to 500? That would make it slightly easier. Well, just slightly. This is gonna take a good bit of thinking.

<edit>
Votes In no particular order:
Smoke - For being the corss-project support for the entire TeAm.
RaySun2Be - for always being there with his cane
Engineer - More...More...More...
Confused - for his work on SoB
OhioDude - For his Races with S@H

There are soooo many more that I want to add. Seriously, I came up with a list of over 50 that I narrowed down to 5. The sheer amount of TeAmwork here is insane. I love this place!

Do I really have to give you reasons? These five are equaly members that need to be recognized. Hence, the no number added to the names...

And of course, everyone in the team gets my vote. Only because I think it's been at least a year since we have had our last little battle in the forums. It's been real quiet as of late. So that is showing that the ones that caused it before have moved on and the ones that are left are the ones that deserve to be on the team. [/ramblemodeoff]

Many have said all the pertinent things about how every member is as important as the next especially here in the AT family of DC, kudos and Happy Holidays to all.

That being said I would like to nominate the unsung "Crackers" in here for the SETI project (I have not followed the other projects other than D2OL for a bit earlier in the year, sorry) especially since the original is nearing it's close:

Dr David Anderson and his staff, without them the numbers of Individuals as well as The Teams would be meaningless if it wasn't for their efforts in house cleaning some of the dishonest folk out there this year. They spent countless hours doing this for all. They put the DC in DC.

I would also like to nominate JW Middleton for his incredible "Consistent" effort and dedication to the TeAM and the project and for becoming the best friend as you have to me. God Bless you my friend and all my friends here.

Any thoughts of a MVC for each project? ;)

If you weren't being sarcastic, I was thinking the same thing... otherwise nominations will most likely be weighted heavily towards the project with the most participants (read: SETI) while there are other very deserving candidates that have kept some teams alive while attention was directed elsewhere (Slapstick/Shame in D2OL for example, and others, I'm sure, but I am fairly myopic when it comes to DC projects, so I can't give credit where credit is due)...
You definately rase some good points about that, and is something that should be kept in mind. As it is now, it's a bit close to the wire to be changing things offically, but I'll definately look at re-writing the MVC contest for next year.:)

PS Sorry I'm so late in responding, it's Winter Break, so I'm homeward bound

Unfortunately, SETI is the only thing I play with at the moment, so;

BofBnT - Got me back in so that we could do the tremendous ramp up that we have. (And provided the brains behind that)
Crazee - Welcome thread (Need I say more)
OhioDude - Race stats (I would not be willing to spend the time required to ramp up without something like the races to keep it fun)
Smoke - His stats and site (Same as OD)
Hellburner - Stats page helps keep it going

1 Vote for Ray for Master at Canes.

Crazee: For taking over the job of welcoming of new members to Seti
DanC: For being a "1 man DC" for DPAD and keeping TA up there in the rankings
DannyBoy: He started the "Confused for Elite" bandwagon ;) Also always there, bugging me, getting under my feet behind the scenes with stats etc for SoB (but in a good way)
MereMortal: For writing/updating daily stats and race scripts for many projects. Without him many teams wouldn't have daily stats!
Smoke: For his work earlier in the year for welcoming all new members to Seti, and for taking over the weekly stats from OK

That's my votes at the moment...will see whether I change my mind any time before the 26th ;)

Garry

You wasted a space picking me :p
Damn i feel honored to of had a vote! :D

I  you man

So my votes:

1) Crazee: For his crazee dedication to the Seti Project, as it is the biggest DC project I think he deserve's the vote for the work involved in keeping everyone on TeAm Anandtech informed of what happening!

2) Confused: Because he voted for me (Aww how nice ), and because he has turned what was a TeAm of 15 members into a TeAm of nearly 300 members! :Q + His ongoing efforts into helping people in the anandtech community (Not just DC) + anything else to do with the sob project!

3) Smoke(ball) :p: I dont need to explain

4) ViRGE: Again, I really dont hink i need to explain.

My last vote is going to be something perhaps unexpected.

5) Remy: I choose Jeremy, because I think without his help we would not have the number one spot we currently hold in SoB so soon. Of course we would of got it eventually ;) but not as quickly as we did.

That is all.
