My windows are powered so if the battery dies the only way out is through the trunk, if you left the seats unlocked that is.

It's a Ford -- you unlock the doors by opening the locked door with the inside door handle. All Fords are like that and always have been for decades.

Yup

Dude, those are the only ones that actually CLEAN the headlights. The high-pressure cr@p system usd on other cars don't work.

They do work and make visibility much better.

Example. Can you see or drive when it is full on pouring rain with the Windsheild Wipers off? No you can't, and that's because light cannot pass through the windsheild. The same is true for the headlights if light cannot pass through the lens of the lamp or gets distorted due to water then your visibilty has greatly been reduced.

 Light can't pass through the windshield when it's pouring rain? Sure it can, the rain just distorts it all. Can't say I've ever felt a need for wipers on my headlights, but then I've never had them so who knows.

"Dual Climate Control" - This means that the HVAC has two identical controls, located 6" apart, on the center of the dash. This is so that the person sitting 8" to your left can theoretically have his/her own "climate". If you're alone in the car, you have to adjust both of them to get the car to change temperature.

My car has dual climate control... but zone 2 defaults to the same settings as zone 1, unless overridden. And when it is overridden, it's actually useful.

Same here and it's GREAT. My wife likes it about 10 degrees warmer than I do. And I love that I can set a temperature and it'll keep it at that temperature. In my Civic I'm frequently adjusting the heat or A/C to get it right.

That has nothing to do with light passing through, rain/water reflects the light. Can you not see anything at the bottom of the ocean? Sure, because you're under a mile of water. Your "theory" about light not being able to pass through when it's raining is absolute crap.

Yep, my friend got the gold edition and all the features on it are pretty useful

The most useless thing on any car is the cassette player, why do we have to cater to those old people who still buy tapes, we don't.

Hood ornaments are quite useful for adding puncture wounds to blunt-force trauma.

You guys have missed the point completely. The wipers are for cleaning off DIRT, not water.
Wipers >> water spray.

You are right my "theory" is not a theory at all. Instead I used the wrong choice of words. Light becomes distorted (refraction) as it passes through wet glass. The lens will not focus as well versus being dry.

Who would ever want one of those in their car? Also who was the dumb genus that thought cars would need wheels? That's just dumb!

Isn't that a toll ticket clip?

Cruise control. Should be outlawed IMO.
Why?
Inflexibility of speed among individual drivers is a major cause of congestion and accidents. Think prick in the left passing lane doing exactly 3 mph over the limit and won't move or speed up for anyone. Why? His cruise control is on, even in the city, and he don't turn it off for no one. That's bad driving period. The safest driving is continually adjusting to the flow of traffic.

Well HS! You're not suppose to use CC in the city or metro areas! Only on the open road. I would certainly like to think most of us know that already, except of course for the idiot Winnebago owner that won a law suit for setting his cruise control and getting up to make a cup of coffee. Of course it went off the road and crashed. AND HE WON THE SUIT!

Seat warmers for me. I live in a desert climate, I asked the salesman what about cool ventilation for the seats and he was like hrmmmmm?

Heated seats which take exactly as long to warm up as the car's regular heater does.

My car is also equipped with the "Ultra Vibrating Shift Knob" which might be of some use for extremely lonely female motorists, but which just makes my arm go numb.

All of the features you listed are good features in any other car. Dual zone heater controls and heated seats work great in my town and country. I'm not sure about the vibrating shift knob.

My only thought is you get what you pay for when you buy a Subaru and a vibrating shift knob is not an option. Your transmission is obviously faulty!

They have those in my dad's car. Seat coolers are amzing, and I always keep them on when I'm in his car (S class W220).

Oh I hate the non-functional hood and side scoops. Hurray... let's kill aerodynamics for 'good looks'. <sigh>

Oh and... rear wings on passenger cars. Trust me - you're not going to be going fast enough to use it.

I think my power mirrors are rather pointless. Its not like I have to constantly adjust them.

There are many new cruise control systems that use sensors to speed up/slow down with the traffic. You can even set a "range" of speeds instead of just a regular one.

<----- has only used cruise control a few times in his life

I prefer to have control of my life, but I think it is silly you'd want it to be banned. You believe in personal rights and are a Libertarian to a large extent, so don't act as if wanting to ban this isn't crap.
