House...
Engagement ring...
Aurora...

Everything else that I ever thought was expensive seems cheap compared to those three.

My home theater
My 100+ DVDs
All of my LOTR-related merchandise (no you do not wanna know how much I have).

Insane amounts of money, but it's all worth it to me.

Property taxes will work out to be about $130 a month.

Ouch that hurts. Three years ago when I bought my house, I qualified for a special low interest rate of 5.99%.

Hey Vi 120K for a townhouse is grat, around here all the townhouses start at 230+ and 230 you are living in the ghetto...I would love to pay 900 a month on a mortgage, instead I have to pay close to 1,300/mo for rent!!

Night, I agree...Oakleys are awesome, I know both Oakley and Killer Loop (Same company) offer a lifetime warranty on the frames...my brother sat on his and sent them in, recieved a new pair just like you did.

Jeremy, I know about the engagement ring thing...I am looking at one now and man, ouch...makes my watch look cheap since everything she likes is 6K+.....

AMD I know the feeling, I sold my old Mustang for a new car which I am less happy with...could have fixed the old car and had a ton of cash left over, but at least this builds credit and my GF is happy as she hated my old ride.

In 1986 I bought a 36 inch SVHS High Deffinition Mitsubishi TV (not projection) for $2,300 and that was unheard of at the time and very expensive. Still works great, it turns out to about just 40 cents/day for the past 16 years. Bang for the buck if you ask me.

My paintball setup:
Dark Angel LCD
Angel A.I.R.
Freak Kit
(and of course all the other lovely accessories)

Total comes out to about $2400 for gun setup, close to 2700 if you include mask, loaders, etc. I don't play tournaments, and I'm not a pro so TOTALLY unneccessary. But I feel like a buff every time I walk off the field with a few 'kills' coming from my baby. It just feels so damn sexy, even when I just rip on the trigger sitting at home.

so that means your paying PMI also? 7.25% seems a little high too, ive seen loans from 4.90%-6.25% available around here, is this a 30 year loan?

I'm very frugal (read: cheap) about most things. The exceptions are food and my most recent purchase '02 VW GTI.

Good food is a bit of a luxury IMHO. My wife and I dine out fairly regularly and spend too much doing it. Also, we make it a point to "splurge" when it comes to grocery shopping.

The car was a big decision...went from driving an '85 Golf to one that is brand new. But I know I'll have the car for about the next 10 years so why not get something I wanted?
