I am quite liking Equalizer +. It's quick & easy to use, I haven't tried lock screen controls as I never use them on any app.

I'm really surprised that not many people use ZPlayer.

It's an amazingly designed, intuitive and beautiful player.

I've always used it and am baffled that anyone would use anything else; every other player I've seen is either hideous or slow.

I like Zplayer. It's a recreation of the Zune HD interface. It's pretty straightforward and easy to use. It has a few weird bugs, like occasionally it'll stop playing when I'm switching between apps a lot.

Is that app a rip of ubermusic or is it a separate zune clone?

Judging from screenshots, maybe a Zune clone as I think it more closely mimics the Windows phone aesthetic and polish.

Ubermusic was a skinable zune clone from awhile back, I just wondered if this was a newly coded clone or if someone had just "re-released" Ubermusic.

Because it is utter crap. PowerAmp by far.

I haven't settled on a player. I use RockBox, Vanilla, or VLC depending on mood.
