MOST STABLE MB for gaming Not going to overclock

What is the most stable MB to purchase? I will not be overclocking. Some have said the Asus A8V-Deluxe K8T800.

Sugeestions?

What processor and socket type are you looking for? Do onboard features like sound, LAN, USB, Firewire, SATA, RAID, etc matter?

Asus A8V-Deluxe K8T800 supports 939

The latest USB

SATA support.

Do not care about RAID as long as I can have four HDD.

I am ready to buy. I just need to know what to get.

Grab one of the new nForce4 boards. You don't have to get the SLI model, but the Ultra model looks good, and if you aren't overclocking, will really give you some advantages like SATAII and PCIe.

Ok is there an advantage of the ABIT over the ASUS? I am leaning towards the ASUS.

Also what is the best RAM to get for it. I need 2 GB (it is for photo editing).

That's what I was thinking.

If you're *really* concerned about rock-solid stability, get a server motherboard with registered ECC RAM and an Opteron 1XX CPU. Otherwise, I haven't heard anything about NF3 or K8T800 in terms of stability issues.

Just general stability. I do not want to have to reload or update BIOS' every other week or month. I want something that is relatively stable. " A good MB".

Will the Asus A8V-Deluxe K8T800 fit the bill?

If so what is the best ram up to 2 GBN to add to it?

A8V deluxe is a SOLID board. Very stable and a decent oc'er. Asus has "approved RAM" on their website. I went with corsairXL 2-2-2-5 pc3200, but after reading Zebos posts on RAM I feel comfortable that I could of gone with value select corsair RAM to save a little $$ . The corsair LL 2-3-2-6 is rated as "most compatible" with the A8V deluxe, but again I think you would be best off reading Zebo's post about RAM and deciding for yourself. G-luck and nice system you have their! 🙂
